2011 was the first year that a Rocky Mountain Contractor Exchange was offered, but similar events had taken place in other states.
The Electric & Gas Industries Association (EGIA) and Building Performance, Inc. (BPI) created the Contractor Exchange concept in 2009 to facilitate networking and professional development for residential and small commercial building contractors. It is geared towards owners, department managers and other key employees with companies focused on residential and small commercial remodeling, replacement and service contractors with annual sales of at least $500,000 annually.
