EGIA’s UtilityExchange.org plans and produces activities where utilities, allied organizations and contractors learn, share best practices and network regarding energy efficiency, demand response renewable energy, customer services, marketing, sales, enhanced business operations and workforce development.

UtilityExchange.org. is managed by utility and energy industry veteran Ed Thomas who directs UtilityExchange related activities, including:

  • Regional workshops and national webcasts for utilities and trade allies on the marketing and integration of energy efficiency, renewable energy and demand response programs.

  • Consumer home energy efficiency and home performance workshops and expositions.

  • Home energy makeover contest consulting and program administration.

  • Energy efficiency and workforce development collaboration with community groups, local government and non-profit organizations.

  • Facilitation of sponsored regional, state and local green collar workforce development educational and outreach activities.
